MIT-MU in collaboration with like-minded Tigrian Diaspora in the United States namely Technology Enabled Learning for the Underprivileged (TELU) handed over one RACHEL (Remote Area Community Hotspot for Education and Learning) and all the required client devices that will be served by each RACHEL server with 40 laptops to each of Kelamino Special High School and Aba Gebremichael Catholic High School.
The two high schools are chosen as pilot sites to carry out the RACHEL Server expansion project, aimed at providing access to schools lacking or having limited internet connectivity.
